NAIL DOWN
GLUE DOWN
As the name says, each strip of flooring is nailed or stapled down to the subflooring. This application requires the subfloor to be plywood or approved OSB. It can be installed on or above grade.
These are strips of engineered wood or bamboo floors that are glued directly to the sub-flooring underneath. This application can be installed above, on or below grade.
CLICK-N-LOCK - FLOAT
This type of flooring has a built in locking system that locks together with each other. This type of flooring essentially "floats" over the sub-floor and requires cushioned padding underneath it. This flooring can be used over most types of sub floors.

Tile floors, like their uses, range widely in style and look.

I can't say enough good things about Braz Flooring. I initially was hesitant to use a company that didn't have a ton of online reviews, but Lumber Liquidators recommended them, and my initial dealings with Lucas were great. I spoke to several different companies, and Lucas was by far the most knowledgeable about everything -- and we had a potentially complicated job requiring nailing hardwood into plywood over concrete (which not everyone has experience doing). Lucas helped me determine what materials we needed, and his estimate was very reasonable.
The installation guys were great. Upon arrival, they discovered that the sub-flooring was better than expected, and they were able to take a huge chunk of money off the installation cost. That's an honest business practice that you don't often see! They showed up on time, worked all day, and they finished the job ahead of schedule. In addition, when we realized that some wood pieces were missing for the stairs, Lucas worked with me to reschedule the guys for one additional day to finish up the stairs. He didn't charge me extra and got the guys back to my place within a week, which was very much appreciated. And most importantly, the floors look great! I highly recommend Braz flooring.

Braz Flooring installed new floors in our whole house minus the tiles in the kitchen. If they did tile, we would have used them for that as well. This was now 5 months ago and we are still very happy with our flooring.
We worked with Lucas and his team who were courteous and honest, and more than competent. They removed old carpeting and installed hardwood in most of the house (including stairs) and engineered hardwood in the family room that is on slab. They also installed new base boards and shoe molding throughout the whole house.
We had expected to pay and arm and a leg for all this work but they proved to be very affordable (we had several estimates done) and didn't nickle and dime the small changes we asked to make along the way.
All work was clean, efficient and the team completed all of the floors in the span of just a few days. Oh, and did I mention they managed to do all of that work with minimal furniture relocation? That alone was impressive.
Very happy with them and have been recommending them to everyone ever since.

The team did an excellent job with our two flooring projects. They worked quickly and efficiently to install a laminate and a hardwood floor in a day.
At the initial start of the project, they identified some water damage that caused us to delay the project in order to repair the water issue. We then had to reschedule the install when another renovation fell behind schedule. Lucas and his team were super responsive and flexible throughout.
